Website calls and WhatsApp clicks

With advertising permission, visitors arriving from Google ads may see a Google forwarding number that connects to the relevant clinic. Google can attribute the call to the ad using call metadata, including time, duration, connection status and, where available, caller number. This setup does not enable call recording. A 60-second call is a lead signal, not a confirmed appointment or sale.

The call and WhatsApp measurement tags run on the isolated measure.hearmed.ie address. They receive permitted Google click identifiers and a generic WhatsApp link click, without service-page addresses, page titles, form answers or WhatsApp message content. A WhatsApp click does not confirm that a message was sent. Google advertising cookies such as _gcl_aw and _gcl_au are restricted to the measurement host. We ask for a fresh advertising choice for this setup. Withdrawal stops the tags, restores ordinary clinic numbers and clears accessible optional tracking storage.

Your choices

Choose Accept all, Reject optional or Choose settings. Accepting or rejecting opens the website. In settings, tick the optional categories you want and select Save choices. Optional categories start off. You can read our cookie and privacy policies before choosing. Cookie settings remains available on every page to change or withdraw your choice. You can use our forms without accepting optional tracking. We remember your choice in the hm_consent cookie for up to 180 days, then ask again. Each hostname keeps its own choice.

Essential storage

We use cookies for consent preferences and requested site functions, including clinic selection. An enquiry confirmation cookie lasts five minutes. Staff authentication cookies are restricted to staff access. These functions do not require optional analytics consent.

Visit and enquiry measurement

With analytics permission, Google Analytics counts public page visits and measures accepted enquiries. Public visits use a generic HearMed page address and title. We send only recognised traffic-source categories, not the actual service-page address, search terms, advertising click IDs or incoming links. Automatic form tracking and advertising personalisation are off. An enquiry means a callback request, not a confirmed appointment or sale. We do not include names, contact details, clinical answers, selected services or patient record numbers in these Google events. A random submission token prevents repeated counting. It is retained in browser storage for up to seven days.

Advertising measurement

With advertising permission, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising can measure a generic saved enquiry on its confirmation page. Microsoft Advertising receives its own advertising click ID when available, not Google click IDs or your form answers. Microsoft Advertising UET is not loaded on service pages, and its automatic Clarity integration is disabled. The separate Clarity installation described below uses analytics permission. Existing permission given before Microsoft was named in the banner does not activate Microsoft Advertising: a new advertising choice is required.

HearMed attribution cookies last up to 30 days. The hm_microsoft_consent preference lasts no longer than your 180-day consent choice. Microsoft UET may set _uetsid (one day), _uetvid (up to 13 months) and _uetmsclkid (up to 90 days), with local-storage backups. Optional Google cookie durations depend on the published Google configuration. Accepting cookies does not enable patient-list advertising or health remarketing.

Microsoft Clarity analytics

With analytics permission, Microsoft Clarity creates session recordings and heatmaps to help us understand how public pages are used. All page text and form content are masked in recordings. Clarity still receives page addresses, navigation and interaction information, browser and device information, and connection information. Private, staff, sign-in, patient, preview and enquiry-receipt pages do not load Clarity. We ask for a fresh cookie choice when introducing Clarity; previous choices do not activate it.

Clarity uses the _clck cookie for up to one year and _clsk for up to one day. Clarity advertising storage remains denied, including when you allow advertising measurement for other tags. Withdrawing analytics permission stops Clarity through a page reload and removes accessible Clarity cookies and storage. Read the Microsoft Privacy Statement at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement for provider information.

External maps and hearing checks

Google Maps and the Beyond Hearing screener load only after external-content permission. Their providers receive connection information and may apply their own cookie choices. Read the provider notice before entering information. Their storage lifetimes are controlled by those providers.

Changing your mind

Open Cookie settings, switch off the optional categories and save. The page reloads to stop loaded optional scripts. We remove known optional cookies and storage accessible to this site; we cannot clear another provider’s cookies or erase historical server records with this control. Contact us about personal-data requests.
