NATUS Madsen® Zodiac® Diagnostic Hearing Technology
Tympanometry:
This test is used to examine the patient’s middle ear functionality and the eardrums’s mobility (tympanic membrane). Using this technology we can evaluate how the eardrum responds to changes in air pressure. Tympanometry helps us assess conditions such as fluid build-up in the middle ear or determine if the eustachian tube is working as it should.
Acoustic Reflexes:
This type of testing measures the muscle contraction in the middle ear as a response to loud sounds.This test helps us evaluate how the auditory pathway is working as a whole, giving us important information about your middle ear and the auditory nerve.
